SunTrooper® specialize in designing and retailing high quality, fun UV50+ protective Swimwear and Sunwear ranges for baby’s, kids and teens, from ages 1 up to 16 years. SunTrooper® are advocates for sun safety and skin cancer awareness, we give advice and information through our blog, on-line shop and other social media websites, to help parents and carers make the right choices when buying swimwear and the importance of teaching their children about good sun care practices. As skin cancer rates are expected to treble over the next decade due to the increase in holidays abroad and enhanced by global warming it is imperative that families protect themselves adequately against the suns harmful rays and that children are educated to learn why and how to protect their skin against skin cancer, whilst still enjoying all the fun of an active outdoor lifestyle.
Our styles are designed to protect your child from the harsh UVA and UVB ultra violet rays. We have carefully selected the highest quality Nylon Lycra fabrics from Italy and Australia that comply to the standards regulated by ARPANSA (Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency)- the official Australian Government regulating authority. The Australian and New Zealand Standard AS/NZ 4399:1996, ensures “Excellent” protection blocking 97.5% of UVA and UVB Ultra Violet Rays. We DO NOT use any fabrics with extra UV absorbing chemicals added. All our fabrics and accessories are tested by the manufacturers for harmful chemicals and submit to the öko Tex 100 Standard.
Our Shirts are designed with high necks, longer backs and 1/2 arm, or long sleeve to protect delicate skin areas and use lots of lively fun, stylish patterns combined with the latest fashion colours, guaranteed to appeal to you and your child.
Our range offers “Wave Edge” and “Sport Look” styles in complimentary shades that can be mixed and matched, so all SunTroopers look good, feel good and stay safe, help teach your child, early on, the importance of sun protection!!
