Be Smart: Dear 16 year old me!
This 5-minute film could just save your life, or the life of someone special to you, it shows skin cancer survivors talking to themselves retrospectively. Just 5 minutes… Then send it to someone else, share it, tweet it, G+ it, but first watch it!!
The video was uploaded to YouTube on May 2, 2011, it has been seen by millions and was recently named #7 on the list of the Top 20 Global Social Video Ads Chart for 2011– on the same list as T-Mobile`s Angry Birds Live and the Royal Wedding!!
The immediate goal of this video is to increase the awareness and educate young people and their caregivers about the importance of prevention and early detection of Melanoma Skin Cancer.
It was created by the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund, a group that was founded in memory of a young accountant who lost his battle with the disease in 2005.
Please join me in spreading the word about melanoma awareness by sending this link/video to all the 16 year-olds you know or anyone that was ever 16 or will be 16… Send it to everyone and let’s spread the word. This video, is also available in several languages (French, Spanish and Russian).
